A native Texan Julia began Suzuki violin studies at the age of five. She holds a bachelor of music degree from the Cleveland Institute of Music where she studied with Linda Cerone. As a student of renowned pedagogue Robert Lipsett, she graduated from the University of Southern California's master of music degree program as well as the Colburn School's professional studies program. She has also participated in the ENCORE School for Strings, the New York String Seminar, the National Repertory Orchestra, the Sarasota Music Festival, and the Aspen Music Festival as a recipient of a sought-after orchestral fellowship. Julia joined the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra in 2006 where she rotates between the first and second violin sections. An enthusiastic cyclist, she completes in triathlons and duathlons around the state.
